hello Monday and The Painted Fern is Celebrated!

...hello Monday posts are something I have been doing for some time now linking up with my friend Lisa Leonard and her fab-u-lous blog...
feel free to leave your BLOG link in a comment...how about some hellos...

Hello Monday...Do you believe in love at first sight?
Well I do...that's pretty much how I felt when I first saw Jocelyn O'Gorman's work.  It has a magic all its own that truly shows the talent of the creator. All paper and whimsy and full of folly, it has a sure and certain style...

From that first day I saw her work...and truly became smitten....we've been working togetherand we've grown in respect and admiration...and friendship.

So it's a real treat to share that  she's in the new issue of Where Women Create magazine.  This feature on her work is so well deserved, I am totally grateful to Jo Packhm for recognizing Jocelyn's art, her style...her know how AND her business savvy!

CONGRATS JOCELYN!!!!  This is a well deserved honor!!!

So fab to see her a part of this new issue...
Here's the cover and a peek at the few of her feature's pages...you'll have to nab the mag to see the rest of the truly wonderful spread and story.

Hello Monday...hello love at first sight.

Hello to trusting your instincts!

hello Monday & hello spring...finally! All that and Jocelyn's bunnies too!

It's time we really say Hello Monday and WELCOME JOCELYN O'GORMAN...
and all her lovely bunnies too!

We met at the Country Living Fair in December and I was immediately captivated with her festive paper creations and seasonal follies...

Since then, she's been a special guest at our "heART of winter" event in Sanford, FL where some of you met her and experienced her art in person, and soon enough she'll be joining us at the next Country Living Fair in Rhinebeck, NY in June...

In the meantime, please help me say HELLO to spring with a peek at Jocelyn's wonderful bunnies and springtide wonders....she creates are under the moniker The Painted Fern and you can see all of her currently available works HERE.

I had a little help from Charlotte and Hannah with the new art that arrived...
Hello Monday and Hello Spring... this was the girls' fave...

But I love her grande standing bunnies...

It's not often that a new artist joins the ranks of Earth Angels...sometimes it takes years of me knowing someone, and sometimes it takes 5 minutes.  Jocelyn O'Gorman was the latter. And I thank her for being her...and sharing what she does...

In addition to seasonal works like these bunnies I adore, she does make paper follies, mixed media pieces, ribbons, and more...
So hello Monday.

Hello new partnerships and hard work.

Hello trust.

Hello love at first sight.

Hello Spring and getting ready to breathe fresh air.

Hello suitcase, time to pack for the Texas trip to visit Holly at her new Old Glory Antiques Pop-Up...(details here if you can make it).

Hello new cleats for the kids for soccer, and for baseball, and new running shoes for all of us...hello Nike outlet!

Hello to all of you and hope you enjoy your week whatever you are up to!

Hello Monday...have you met The Painted Fern...

Hello Monday...I love the shiny new week coming at me...it feels like I have tried the new year on for size and we are rolling along together...

Hello to getting lots done, and as a retailer, I am still getting through the aftermath of the holidays and gift season...
but this week there are the happy days of moving forward
with a new artist included here at Earth Angels...

I've included a peek of her work...but it sold so quickly while we were togeter at The Country Living Fair in Rhinebeck, you'll have to wait to her spring offerings arrive to see even more that she does....you can see her page on our site HERE
prices for her work start at an almost unbelievable $9....

Trained as a floral designer and living in Georgia, her work has a gentle classic form that sends me. Never overdecorated and stately, her pieces use original ephemera and antique findings as well as found objects, papers and more...
 Hello pretty things...

 Hello to keeping treasures close...
Hello to the old and worn, I respect you...
Hello new week, there's always room in my heart to make a friend,
so hello to you Jocelyn!

Hello catching up on the weekend's fun...there's ski gear everywhere!

Hello planning...our next event is in Florida in just a few weeks...
hello Sanford and The Jeanine Taylor Folk Art Gallery...here we come!!

Hello to hot cocoa, you are the beverage of choice around here!

Hello to all of you...hope you have a wonderful week...What are you up to???
