...what is she up to!

This is Sam...this is his Grandma Krys...

Krys Kirkpatrick is one very talented lady (and a fabulously dedicated grandma now too!)We first met in San Francisco at IDEX in 1999 and worked together for several years from 1999-2005. Then things business grew, their business grew and things shifted from collector bunnies to baby wear at Bunnies by the Bay...some time passed and then, like magic, we met again in September 2010 thanks to The Creative Connection.

So it is utterly amazing to me that we were put in each others' paths and within a day or so, we were back to our plans to share what we love... original art at affordable prices with a lot of fun stuck in between.

If you follow the blog and the site you may recall that 3 days after the close of The Creative Connection, Krys jumped on a plane and met me in Columbus, OH to showcase her art at The Country Living Fair. I love this lady's sense of adventure and bright spirit. What a chance she took...and then just 5 weeks later she was back on plane and met us in Georgia for the Atlanta Edition of the Country Living Fair!'s what she pulled out of her hat (bunny's magic top hat???) for the Fairs...

And here' a quick peek at what she is up to these days...take a look at The Bunnies by the Bay booth at the New York Gift Fair...she is cooking up a line of children's clothing and room adornments for stores and baby boutiques to order...Krys go for it! These are all super designs...

Thanks Krys, for being you, and for loving me and all my crazy ideas...

Krys will also continue to create originals for sale via Earth Angels. Here's a peek at what just arrived from Krys for us to share with Earth Angels' customers and more can be seen on her page...

Stay tuned for more images and details of the new and original watercolors that are available at Earth Angels, and do follow Krys' BLOG

Bella Zapatka Antiques

I love that things come full circle for so many of my friends. What they love in hobby, becomes their business and they can share it with us with their passion.

It's wonderful that Lisa and Andrew are now selling the old and the treasured, the vintage and the celebrated of yesterday. They have always loved old things, and have been decorating with what they have found in their travels for years -- and they have super taste so it's a natural match... Here's a peek:

Their wares and vintage offerings are located at the well recognized, multi-dealer shopAntiques on the Farmington in the historic Collins Axe Factory, 10 Depot Street, Collinsville, CT.

They have two booths on the second floor. You can find them by looking for the tags with the turquoise ribbons.

I sure do hope to get there soon and do some shopping!

You can also catch them ata number of antique and craft shows where they sell their loot AND their jewelry...Lisa has always been all about the bling factor so she is a natural purveyor of European-style bead jewelry. Lisa says, "Soon I will be adding some new pages to our website to include antiques."

Hope they keep us posted!

Ok that's it, I am trying to change my plans for the weekend and hope to be there on Saturday...

Exciting News!!! Deborah Hartwick of Truffle Pigs will be a featured Guest Artist of the American Folk Art Museum at the show Infinite Variety: Three Centuries of Red and White Quilts, link here:

Open Season for great LOOT!

Dahlings...OOHH MY....there's loot for the taking!

We had another marvelous jaunt down to Joyce Meehan's Rose Petal Porch to visit with Joyce and plan for our June event at her charming shop.

Here's Kathy -- my ever willing and adventurous partner in crime -- with Joyce...

...and me with Joyce and my dream of a vintage prom dress...

Here's an up close look at some of the textures of the shop...Joyce has a keen eye for the funky and fun, the loved and the worn...ahh she speaks my language...and her prices are always fair...

(Ingrid - above - is her current spokesmodel)

Here are some peeks at our fave finds, some of which just had to come home with us...

But the find of the day, was the re-purposed film set light...Kathy nabbed it for a reading lamp for her hubby...SCORE!

So you see, dahlings you just need to come meet FABULOUS JOYCE!

Here's a link to Joyce's shop and please tell her I sent you if you get there before our event...

6/11 and 6/12 Earth Angels will host an "artists' showcase" at the Rose Petal Porch...our plan is to encrust Joyce's sweet space with art and encourage everyone to step out for the day to enjoy a taste of cottage chic... Details are on the events page of the site...
