Nancy Wiley...hello Monday...hello TALENT

Whenever I look at one of Nancy Wiley's paintings or dolls I swoon.

 Really, I do.

 She has an amazing talent to behold and I have to share some of her latest works with you...Nancy was able to attend the recent Country Living Fair and brought some incredible new creations with her...

...these are among my faves...i love the depth and color in her paintings....

 

I love all her dolls, too...many of us know Nancy from her many successful years in the art doll world.  Her work is unparallelled.

Proudly, her Tiny Alice is in my personal collection and among my fave possessions...but her new busts have me wondering if I am going to add one to my wish list!

Hello Monday...

I can hardly breathe here.

 Drowning in chores and to dos...but you know what???

It's all great stuff...

so I pause for a minute. Catch my breath and keep chugging.

Besides now I can go in the garden...ahhhh...

hello herbs and pansies already dug in...

Took my mom Rosie to the garden center with me...she was having a great day. Some days...are not so great with dementia...

but it was a fun trip, and I loved every minute of being with her. 

So hello to putting aside what you think has to be done 

to grab those moments...

 

...and hope it was a happy mother's day for all...

Hello friend...it was great to spend a few hours with Laura Putnam of Finding Home...this is one special lady...here's a shot of her from last year at Rhinebeck...she brought be flowers, I love her forever!

She's up to some exciting new things with maple syrup....

Hello summer...it's been in the 80s all week...

thought it might be spring for more than 2 weeks!

NY seems the land of extremes this year!

I am thrilled to be doing some pro bono entrepreneurial consulting with a really cool Family Circus from TN!  I also had a great chat with a food manufacturer, a jewelry designer and a talented woman in home decor...

this adds to my already full plate when I do this, but I love it...

I don't think there's ever been a single thing that my talented friend Jody Battaglia has created that has not made me smile...

I love her sense of whimsy, her sharp mind, her quick wit...and the talent she has to bring those ideas from her mind to her hands in mohair and felt.

 I was thrilled she could attend the gallery event in Sanford, FL last month for the first time. She and her work were so well-received! I love to see people "get" what Jody does...

And to have her book there to promote...well it was magic!

She was able to create some of the characters from her book to share with our customers and her collectors who attended the show....

and a few other one of a kind cuties to share... 

I don't think I can pick a fave...can you???
