 This is happening...WOW
It's been a dream to go to Tokyo for so many years...
and now thanks to my little 12" plastic friend I like to take everywhere I go...

and a whole lotta wonderful friends and fellow Blythe fans in the Dolly Community....
it's happening...
(thanks to Linda Holland of Lounging Linda for this photo...)

WOO HOO!!!
I will be fitting lots of tiny Vintage Toys, Handmade Teds & Friends for Blythe, lace for dolls' dressmaking, vintage toy vehicles, wee antique books and more surprises in the suitcases!

All details on tickets and event format are available on BlytheConFashionTour.com

I am excited to participate and honored to be among such a talented group of Vendors...
HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!!

And a huge thanks in advance to all for making this opportunity possible... the organizers, the many artists with whom I work, my friends and most of all -- Rosanna De Bellis -- for the gift of my beloved Darcy -- my first custom Blythe -- that had me fall in love all over again with my dolls, teds and toys...

 ... #workhardplayhard  ...
LOL -- of course when your work is toys this is perhaps a bit easier!
Keep an eye on your email and the

...my TOY STORY...

...I am forever tagging my Instagram posts of toys #workhardplayhard

I suppose the bottom line is,
I love to play. I love toys...

I don't think there's a room in my house where there isn't a doll or teddy bear.

...this capture of me from the recent Blythe Con where I presented a showcase of toys and handmade from Earth Angels Studios
(photo cred to Linda Holland with xxoo)

I can remember my kids playing with MY toys and me playing with theirs... and while I was always a dolly girl, my one daughter could never stand them -- she always wanted to play with little animal figures or stuffies.

One of my sons loved anything with wheels...the other played only with action figures.
Toys spark the imagination, they remind me of happy childhood memories and they make me feel young at heart...

They say for children play is their work...it's how they learn.  Well, for me, play might still be my work... #ilovemyjob

These are some new offerings I've just posted to the site...there are indeed so many I will just include a very few here... click this to see them all
(Doremi doll on left and below available at Kamino Collectibles...
other items available at Earth Angels Studios)

Enjoy a peek and hope that you can find some playtime in your day...

...you can find the toys and vintage goodies -- may fun for Blythe -- on these pages of my site

...a dolls' dressmaker...peek into her world

I totally adore Hilary Wagstaff and all that she creates...
...so what a true treat for me to dedicate my column to her in the latest issue of Where Women Create
that's JUST hit the newsstands...
 Hilary has a
finely tuned personal style...
the clothing she creates for Blythe dolls shows that she's at the top of her craft -- with an aesthetic that makes her creations clearly identifiable as her art.
Her story and style were a natural match for my
"Business of the Studio" column...

...her wee fashions send me...
tiny embroidered details, finely fitting frocks.... but above all that...Hilary has a wonderful story of her business and how it happened...
how fab that she's shared her story!

A huge thanks to Editor in Chief, Jo Packham of Where Women Create for the opportunity to celebrate Hilary and her Moshi Moshi Studio

A peek at her studio space shows her empirical nature and her dedication to order, a love of vintage fineries,
and a nod to texture...

I was thrilled to be invited to photograph her studio space last year in Penarth, Wales.

You can follow Hilary via her facebook page...HERE
and....you'll find a link
to her etsy page there...
 she's on Instagram as @hilarywagstaff

Thanks Hilary for sharing your story and style! Your creations are fabulous, your business journey noteworthy and I am so grateful to know you through the wonderful Blythe community!

take note...Nancy Wiley's painting again...

 Nancy Wiley is incredibly talented...
I am so thrilled she is painting again, and we have some incredible original oils  to share with you....

More are coming in late September...so stay tuned...
and do hope you love them as much as I do....

I am grateful to Nancy for the opportunity to work with her to share them with you...here are some of my very faves among all the wonderful works...
This oil features a sweet girl in a crown...so ethereal and sweet...
This Red Riding Hood just sends me...I love the drenched colors and expression..
...this one was done in her garden....

And the farm boy is just fabulous...

Nancy has also added some cards to her current offerings...these feature some of her most renowned works, and a peek at her Wonderland book too.

These are available in very, very limited quantities
and start at just $5 for a box of 6 cards...
Thanks to all of you for your support of Nancy and her artistry...as many of you know, I know Nancy for more than 15 years as a friend and colleague in the doll world, but it's only in the past year that we have been able to work together via Earth Angels Studios, and for this I am so very grateful...
