Such Sweet Ones...

so much to do and I am playing dolls again...

Nicol Sayre has really outdone herself with her latest grouping of folk dolls to arrive at Earth Angels...Though it's tough to choose a fave, these lassies might just top my personal picks...

Eliza...a grand standing lady...she has special beauty, gorgeous outfit showcases her antique hand beaded textile inset as a stomacher and a sweet paper bonnet...

And Elspeth, a sweet girl with a charming countenance, sweet layers of antique textiles, I am always likely to choose Nicol's dolls in white...they are always my faves...this one has an extra darling wee chair at her waist as a little charm...
A big thanks to Nicol for these gorgeous dolls...now I am back to packing for the Atlanta Country Living Fair...

A Studio Peek

It's always a treat to visit an artists' studio, and a trip to painter Jennifer Lanne's farmhouse chic space tops the charts. It's lush and layered, functional and capricious at once; it is as compelling as her bright and color drenched canvases.

As we prepare for her to attend the first Country Living Fair to be held in Atlanta, I made the trip to see her work in progress...Here are just a few of my favorite images of her space. Yes, we have seen it in all it's glory in several magazines include Where Women Create, Country Living and Romantic Homes...but it always amazes me; she makes a barn and paint pots look divine.

I love it in her space and each time I visit, it seems wonderfully familiar and yet fresh once again...

More soon on the pieces in work for the Fair.

Once again...an Earth Angel

Things often come full circle...and I am utterly thrilled to once agian be working with this very talented and oh so spirited lady...

Krys Kirkpatrick loves to make things; she says she’s made things for as long as she can remember. From her easy bake oven to her little toy sewing machine, and fortunately, she has never stopped. She has the well-known a company called Bunnies By The Bay (we loved selling their soft sculpture designs from 1999-2006), where, along with her two sisters, she designs a wonderful line of baby gifts.

She also creates one of a kind painted, drawn and sewn art. Take a peek below...for more images like these..

Her original artworks are often mounted in these absolutely fab cardboard frames she makes from all found and recycyled materials...most are petite, and prices for these originals start at $22!

Then, there are her wonderful softies...

And of course, my personal faves, the pieces she creates with her watercolors and ink paintings on paper, she then mounts on wood boards...these start at about $58...

Through her charming mixed media cardboard art, watercolors, softies and adornments she shares her genuine affection for family, friends, nature and childhood. Her talent imparts each design with a nod to whimsy and the love of the magic in the everyday. I am honored to be working with her once again, and thrilled to offer her work to our customer friends. (Email me at Jen@EarthAngelsToys.com to be advised of new arrivals.)

Krys, you are inpiring, grounded, artful and so very true...I just truly adore you and your wonderful energy! Thanks for joining the circus... and read more about Krys on her BLOG...

At-Choo!!!

Elaine Seamans' "AT-CHOO" wearable and ornamental designs are utterly delightful; they have the rare quality of subtle elegance and ultimate whimsy...

I have loved her work for some time and have sold her creations off and on over the years...especially at our events and gatherings, but it is finally time to have her on board with us all the time...and have a spot for her on the on-line gallery. So woo hoo for At-Choo! I am so glad i was able to catch up with Elaine in New York last month...

Here Jo Packham shares my enthusiasm for her artistry and friendship with Elaine...

And here's a peek at some of Elaine's current offerings...I am especially smitten with her jewelry...of note are her chunky rings and her new and divine linen bracelets that adorn the wrist with a charming and tactile medley of fine cloth and itty trimmings...

Linen wristlets...(prices start at $38)

And these rings...it's tough to choose a fave...

And here are some of the bottles of magic that have made her famous! I love them all... especially the "tickle buds", "pearls of wisdom", "wicked witch's undies" and the "splinters from Cinderella's slipper"...

Watch your in-box and the website for more about AT-CHOO and thanks to Elaine for the willingness to offer her creations via Earth Angels...
