I am totally thrilled for my friend, Earth Angels' artist Letty Worley...

I love that talented girl! It is so uber cool to see her oh so artful, and one of a kind heirloom soft-sculpture creations and purses among the pages of the current PRIMS....

It was a true treat to work on this piece with Letty and PRIMS editor-in-chief,  Jenn Jackson; it;s great to see her get some week deserved attention for her fab work among the pages of such a great nationally circulated art magazine....

Like the article illustrates, her work is fresh, something familiar in its use of vintage oddities and glories but totally unexpected in her charming interpretations....

hello Monday...the to do list of a cat

Hello Monday.

See this guy...look how he spends his days...I admit I am more than a bit jealous sometimes.

I want to savor the week...so Hello Monday, I want to take this week to go slow and steady and I want to be glad with what I can get done, 

as opposed to being frantic about all I still have to do...

Hello Monday...last week melted away and I am facing deadlines galore. 

Not really sure how it's the end of April, but it is. That means  2 major events in 6 weeks, Rory's First Communion in 3 weeks, and all that end of the year stuff for school that you really don't want to be rushed. 

So I am going to slow it down a bit and think like a cat -- 

I do wonder how their to do list would read???

Trying to help my kids do the same...more one step at a time and pace themselves....HELLO homework!

But at the same time, hello to taking time to hug the kids a little more is a good thing, reaching out by phone or email to someone is a good thing, and making the time -- finding the minute --  to do so is something I need to do more...

Hello Boston, I am praying for peace and healing...

Hello to good surprises....we had some new friends drop by unexpectedly...it's amazing how you can stretch a dinner andanother old friend rang my doorbell ....and while the schedule was thrown out the window...it was all good.

 So hello week...hello to the little things that make me happy like seeing my kids learn -- this week we had projects on Florence Nightingale and Pioneering on the kitchen table.

Hello cute straws and napkins and my favorite mug from Barncandy on etsy. It doesn't take much to make me smile and this did it this week...

Hello to soccer season in full swing. My kids all like to play defense...

Hello garden center, we need to get some plantings going here. Rory wants to plant his veggie garden again so if anyone has recipes for giant zucchinis -- HOLLER!

Hello Monday...Hello from New York.

 

...it's amazing how friends help you see the world differently and appreciate different things...even your hometown.

Hello Monday. It's a new week and I am ready for you.  It was wonderful to have my dear friend Anne visit from Australia last week, and now it's back to business...but we miss you Anne. Come back soon...

Hello to playing tourist in my own town.  I hadn't been to the top of the Empire State Building in such a very long time...and I live right here...what was I thinking!?!

Hello beautiful, big, bold New York. I love that you change and grow each day.

I think the view has changed as much as I have in the many years since I took in the view, but it's all good....

What a treat to sneak in a quick trip to the top. I shot gobs of images.
