such nice news...Wee Forest Folk in Print

I love that I was able to feature the so well-deserving Petersen Family & Wee Forest Folk in my column "The Business of the Studio" in this issue of Where Women Create magazine...

I think it's incredible to still be an artful soul in old age, and to think and move creatively in business...
This was a special day...I went to shoot the story and found so much more...

It's impossible not to fall in love with 97 year old founder, Annette Petersen when you encounter her, sitting and working with her was an incredible experience...
Her family is everything and they create together...
three generations of artists with one vision...
I appreciate them all...Willy, Donna, Bonnie...

It's even more impossible not to fall in love with all they create....by hand...in Massachusetts...

And a huge thanks Jo Packham
for making this all possible...

something mini & fanciful

...it's really been a joy to begin working with the talented folks at Wee Forest Folk...

...what began with a cold call on my part to interview founding artist, Annette Petersen, for Where Women Create magazine (more on that soon!) has bloomed into a really wonderful relationship.
I admire and respect what the company creates and the true talent of the Petersen family...

I am now working with Wee Forest Folk as a retailer and it's been a hoot. I love seeing what comes out of the studio...and having seen the creations be made -- from concept to completion -- has led to a true and deep appreciation for their singular artistry and inimitable, and oh so charming wee style!

Here's a peek at some of my current in-stock faves and recent arrivals...

And here's a peek at what's new for spring... and take note...some of these sweeties are only available until April 15th!

ON THE SPRING ARRIVALS

...here's my top pick... love this sweet
"Shannon's Shamrock" piece...
...and "Wee Tweet Trio" is wonderful, I actually got to see Donna working on this piece when I was last at the factory...to see it go from a small bit of clay to this is so incredible!
Stay tuned for more mouse magic...
and a huge thanks to the Petersens for the opportunity to work with them...
...here's Bonnie at a recent event with one of our wonderful collector friends...

...3 generations making art together..this send me

...the idea of three generations of hands working together to make art truly sends me...

I wanted to share the exciting news that Bonnie Petersen -- grand daughter to artist Annette the founder of Wee Forest Folk and daughter to Willy Petersen -- has just returned from California and begun to work and design
for her family's 44 year old studio business.

Bonnie's debut collection...called
was announced just last week and it is truly charming

Here's a bit of a peek at some of her new pieces...

All are available -- in very limited quantities -- at Earth Angels Studios on

It's a wonderful thing for me to be working with this talented family and I am so very grateful for the opportunity to know them, share their story and promote the sale of their work...

Watch for a feature coming soon in the May issue of Where Women Create magazine. Jo Packham has graciously allowed me to photo and write a story on
Annette Petersen and her incredible business style and story in my column...
stay tuned!

And congrats to the Petersens on these recent accomplishments! I cannot wait to see what's coming next from their Massachusetts studio this spring...
