Our "Spring Soiree" with TRUE LILY

in Canandaigua, NY

hosted by me and Nancy Wiley!

Friday, May 5th - 4pm-7pm

Saturday, May 6th - 10am-4pm

...coinciding with the wine walk!

We'll be doing an artful shopping pop-up -- 

that's free and open to the public -- 

AND an BRUNCH & Chat (more info on that below)

 We've done several events and appearances over the years with Nancy, and each one has been quite special...

Nancy has amazing talent and style, and we like working together to celebrate the 

style of artists we admire...

 

 Attending will be Sue Parker, Letty Worley, Jody Battaglia, Jocelyn O'Gorman, Cheryl Kuhn & 

Valerie Weberpal

These artists -- and more -- will prepare a group of art and handmade to present to attendees for their browsing and shopping pleasure....

Expect some special creations.

 ...while the shopping event is FREE, there is a fee associated with the limited space BRUNCH and Entrepreneurs' chat with Jen O'Connor. 

Reserve here for your brunch and seat at the lovely "Simply Crepes" restaurant -- just doors away from "True Lily".  

Your fee will include a full brunch of fresh crepes, scrambled eggs, applewood bacon, hand-cut fried red potatoes, chilled grilled veggies, fresh fruit and sweet vanilla cream as well as a chat with Jen and a presentation on turning your passion into your economy and the journey to Artful Entrepreneurship.

Nancy Wiley...hello Monday...hello TALENT

Whenever I look at one of Nancy Wiley's paintings or dolls I swoon.

 Really, I do.

 She has an amazing talent to behold and I have to share some of her latest works with you...Nancy was able to attend the recent Country Living Fair and brought some incredible new creations with her...

...these are among my faves...i love the depth and color in her paintings....

 

I love all her dolls, too...many of us know Nancy from her many successful years in the art doll world.  Her work is unparallelled.

Proudly, her Tiny Alice is in my personal collection and among my fave possessions...but her new busts have me wondering if I am going to add one to my wish list!

I can hardly breathe here.

 Drowning in chores and to dos...but you know what???

It's all great stuff...

so I pause for a minute. Catch my breath and keep chugging.

Besides now I can go in the garden...ahhhh...

hello herbs and pansies already dug in...

Took my mom Rosie to the garden center with me...she was having a great day. Some days...are not so great with dementia...

but it was a fun trip, and I loved every minute of being with her. 

So hello to putting aside what you think has to be done 

to grab those moments...

 

...and hope it was a happy mother's day for all...

Hello friend...it was great to spend a few hours with Laura Putnam of Finding Home...this is one special lady...here's a shot of her from last year at Rhinebeck...she brought be flowers, I love her forever!

She's up to some exciting new things with maple syrup....

Hello summer...it's been in the 80s all week...

thought it might be spring for more than 2 weeks!

NY seems the land of extremes this year!

I am thrilled to be doing some pro bono entrepreneurial consulting with a really cool Family Circus from TN!  I also had a great chat with a food manufacturer, a jewelry designer and a talented woman in home decor...

this adds to my already full plate when I do this, but I love it...

Nancy Wiley stepped out at the Country Living Fair inviting us into 

Wonderland with her new series of paintings....

 Nancy is a certain talent moving between mediums, but forever telling stories.  

She paints, she makes dolls, she writes books...

and I am grateful to work with her to share all that she does 

with our customers.

 The recent Alice series speaks directly to me...I have a sure affection for Wonderland, and this series captures it....

Hello Monday and HELLO JO WWC AND WILEY!

...hello Monday....there's so much catching up around here after the show my head is spinning. But, let me pause a moment and say hello to you all...and share some nice news and good press!

I love that Jo Packham has allowed me to work on her magazines over the years. She featured me in her very first issue of Where Women Create, and since then I have been a contributing editor.

 Over the years she has allowed me to photo and write about some of my very favorite women...ones I admire...ones I work with...ones who inspire me everyday.

 

It was a real treat to photo and interview Nancy Wiley -- doll artist, author, and painter -- for the most recent/just released November 2014 issue...

 I have known Nancy a very long time, but it's only recently that we've been able to do business together...and it has been a good thing. 

So hello to sitting down with a cuppa and having a good read of this article...the above is just a peek...you can see the new issue for more...

Hello to working with friends, it presents its own set of challenges but it can be amazing!

Hello to getting things done, one    step   at   a  time.... and not letting that to do list make me completely insane...
