Many of you come ever year, for so many years, and we simply can not think of hosting an event without you...Ro, Julia, Pamela, Marlene, Kathleen, Jean, Kristy, Sal, Ellen, Krista, Nicole, Phyllis, Loretta, Liz, Theresa, and Kathy among others...More of you have thought about attending an event but just have not gotten around to it...

Please know, we don't disappoint, and this event looks like it will be our very best yet...(more soon on our host Amanda Crames and her gorgeous "Schuyler Pond"...)

So please, make a plan, grab a gal pal, talk someone into making the drive with you. I truly look forward to seeing you again, or meeting you for the first time...

Bring on the BLING…

They don’t call Ashley Carter the “diva of sparkle”, the “glitter queen”, the “lady of glitz” and the reigning “monarch of folly” for nothing”.


She’s pulled out all the stops with her Goldbug Studio collection for Spring 2011…magical nests, festive hats and cake toppers abound. All are richly appointed with millinery blooms, a dusting of magic and a luminous countenance that comes from the exceptional quality of vintage and found materials with which she creates them, as well as the care given to their design and construction. They are whimsical, ethereal, festive and oh so cool.

Here’s a peek at her peek at the recent NY Gift Fair. She is clearly channeling old school glamour, long forgotten Mardi-Gras balls, and starlet-style.

I confess to drooling, it’s all a bit much to take in and well, I think I see t all and then when I leave her boot, checks flushed and imagination reeling I feel as if the photos can never do her displays and art work justice…

"cutest couple" award

...for sure, the cutest couple award goes to Rebecca and Rick Puig...Not only do these two look fab together, they work so well together, it makes me like "Sugarboo Designs" even more.

This pic is from the NY Gift Fair where their booth was hopping with folks loving on Rebecca's signature designs and their new paper products. I loved the feel of the new itty, square note cards and the big chunky retro notebooks...and of course, I remain smitten with her art signs, driftwood hearts and more.





A new group of work is due in soon...email if you need a peek at what to expect... and Rebecca, thanks again for becoming an Earth Angel...we don't look as cute together, but we're not too bad and it has definitely been good fun to start working with you!

ta dah and SIS BOOM!

Jennifer Paganelli is the creator of the colorful array of Sis Boom fabrics. She is my friend (and our newest Earth Angel -- woo hoo) and I am proud of her for her latest achievement...yes HER BOOK!!!



She lives in Wilton, Connecticut in a wonderfully rambling home filled with her signature style of whites and brights. It’s here too, that she maintains her active studio and showrooms.






Among all this color and texture she designs her lusciously colored textiles and creates crafting projects featuring her fabrics, found objects, oodles of glitter and more.


...here we are on a recent photo shoot for “Where Women Create” magazine. We met years ago through mutual friend and style maven, Jane Dagmi, aka Miss Blogworthy, editor and writer -- she said she wanted "her Jens" to get together.


When we were working on the shoot, we were both wondering, how can we work together. Well we figured it out -- Earth Angels will be selling her new publications AND Jennifer will join the "Art Girls' RoadShow" joining the Earth Angels at BOTH Country Living Fairs! WOO HOO...stay tuned for details.

So YES, of course, we are stocking all of her new, and oh so wonderfully colorful and downright pretty publications...you can see the details here on each of them for ordering and such....they are $9.95-$24.95 and so much better in person than an image can ever show.




I hope you agree her inimitable style is festive and fun, with those juicy bursts of happy color that make the days brighter and my heart happy.

By the way, I cannot sew, but Jennifer's creations sure do make me wish I could. Sis Boom currently offers eight fabric lines with “Freespirit” and “Sunbrella”, including cottons and new for 2011, laminates so if you sew quilt or generally make stuff, you need her textiles! And yes, I need to learn to sew when I grow up.
