howdy monday...

... howdy Monday...hello hello....

This week I had to share these image of my little cowhand. As many photos as I take for business, I am remiss in not nabbing more of my kiddos.

I have to say, this and not listening to more music are likely the things I wish I could be better about...
and maybe some more horseback riding in the kitchen while we're at it!
So hello to a new week, with all the fixins...

There's nothing like seeing things through the eyes of a kiddo.
The whole world is a bigger place, brighter and full of magic, pretend and a good old game of dress-up.

Hello to rounding up a great group of artists down in Sanford, FL for the event this past weekend...I will blog on it later in the week...there are oodles of images to sort and share.

Let's have some hellos and a big old GIIDDY UP to the new week, there's unpacking to be done, and work to tend to but I think I will cuddle my little ranch hands and get to the chores later.  They are only little once after all...

I am jumping in!

...hello to you new week.
I feel like the days have been running away from me.
I want to catch you if I can and squeeze some fun in to the days...
...hello to an unexpected afternoon of silliness. I needed you.
This coming week we've got a whole lotta work going on with our 8th Annual "heART of winter" at the Jeanine Taylor Folk Art Gallery in Sanford, FL.
But that work is welcome, I will get to say "...hello sunshine!"

Hello to jumping for joy when we can... and sharing it as we should...
...hello to jumping in to chores and to do feet first, and thanking the great friends who always seem there to catch me.

...I simply love when my kids are friends with my friend's kiddos...hello to friendship across the generations.
Hello to only 3 more weeks of winter. Actually, I want say goodbye to Winter...the cold weather really wears me down. I want to be outside more than we have been.  I am done with baking and being cozy...I want to get outside and run.  Wondering when the next storm will decide to send us more snow...
Hello to new things...we've been so busy on the site, adding pages to Lisa Leonard's jewelry offerings...

... in wonderful gold and more gold...and color and textures galore...I will blog on these new creations soon.

Hello to my new fave...

Hello to maybe catching my breath...
Hello to new adventures this week...hello to all of you...
What's the week got in store for you???

old things are nothing new...

Hello new week, I gotta tell you, your bright and shiny and new, and everything else around here is old. I've got vintage loot on my mind...
We've just added Vintage offerings to the site from baubles & bling to ephemera and old playthings...
So hello new week, can I ask you not to bring us any more snow...the kids are already out of snow days. It's cold and wet, and chilly, and how many layers can we wear?
But yes, hello to those sweet slow baking filled snow days and getting little things done. And tiding up and organizing...
Hello to sitting with my kiddos and working on school projects....and teaching Aidan how to bake a cake, and working with Charlotte to study for the spelling bee, and helping Rory to draw armour and swords and shields (...he is on a knight kick again...)

Hello to your emails....I love that so many of you have written to ask why we've added pages upon pages of Vintage Loot to the site...well, this is how we do things around here. Everything we use when we set up for the Art Girls' Road Show -- all the props and fixtures -- they are old.

Hello to all the Earth Angels' artists and friends who often don vintage clothing and old bling with new, love antiquing and those junking jaunts we take.

Hello to respecting the wear and age of objects that have survived.

...hello to new things, but don't worry, change is good...it was just high time we make some of this available on the site, and it seems -- since things are selling awfully quickly -- that you like what we have to offer and feel the prices are fair...
Hello to all the customers were asking for years to buy the props we used to show items, or the items that would peek out in the back of images from photo shoots of art, so see what you think...but beware, these pages are changing VERY quickly, we've posted and sold dozens of items just this week, so you'll need to check back often.
Hello to 4 days weekend coming up...and Valentine's and those sweet traditions.

Hello to new things on the site...new art and yes, and hello to all these old things, which is nothing new around here.
Do you like the vintage offerings, are you looking to see more of this or something specific??? Someone asked for Halloween loot, old Halloween is posting today...
Oh and Bakelite, that's coming next week, more than 30 pieces, priced fairly at ready to share prices...many of you know I love that fantastic plastic and it's retro vibe and yummy clink when an arm is loaded with bangles.

We're putting out heart into this -- we're just adding another layer and texture to the business...oodles more art is posting at the same time...the artists are getting ready for our event in Florida at the Jeanine Taylor Folk Art Gallery in Sanford on 3/1 and 3/2...stay tuned for sneak peeks...

Hello to all of you and tell me about your week??? Anything fun planned...and have a Happy Valentine's Day???

salute to the week

Hello Monday...where did that week go. It flew by....
Last week was not the smoothest...sick kids, Aidan running 103 temp for 2 days, sick hubby, dreary weather, and worried about some friends who are dealing with some personal and health challenges, but hey we made the best of things - we found some fun, did some good work, got some projects done around the house.

Hello to feeling better and good bye germs!

Hello giant flag, I salute you! I am married to a very patriotic fella and he fell in love with this creation by Ab the Flagman at first sight....

Hello being married to a Virgo who actually measures, and then measures again - this is not my strong point (I don't read directions either)...
We finally hung Ab's flag purchased a while back from the Jeanine Taylor Folk Art Gallery in Sanford where we do out annual "heART of winter" event.
We'll be there again on 3/1 & 3/2...

 Hello to working together...
Hello helpful kids...like some household chores, it takes a while to get it done - renting a scaffold etc, but Char was ace assistant...

Hello to my little glasses girl, found out this week she needs them all the time...sigh...sports goggles ordered too!  She reminded me I always say they are jewelry for the face....a sunny outlook for sure.

Hello silliness and good humor to make all things tolerable.
Rory provided comic relief, first handcuffing himself to the scaffold with his Houdini playset cuffs and demo-ing a dramatic breakout...
...then saluting as we hing this new spin on Old Glory.
Hello to what's new at Earth Angels and my helpers and and a big thanks to Oliver and Harold. They added more than 150 vintage items added to the site this week, many, many have sold.

Within hours of posting, the offerings were decimated -- the Bakelite was snatched up and oodles of the 1950s holiday loot, some textiles and small household gods too.

Hello to more work to do...Another 100 items will post by the end of this week. Keep an eye on the offerings and if you order before Wednesday with code LOOT15 at checkout, we'll take 15% off any vintage goods order.
Hello to all of you out there in America and beyond...
What are you up to this week?

Hello to getting used to new things, new ideas, a new week and all that it brings us...

merry days, time passing

I am still sending out Christmas cards - trying to be clever I got New Year's cards because there was no way they were all going in time...

So here's a hello Monday, and since I could not get 3 kiddos to look perfect in one shot, we compromised and went for a card with 8 images.

Besides, what's perfect, when I am sure "enough" is as good as a feast?

Hello Monday, you are here already and the packages are not all wrapped...yet...and some small voice is reminding me to just enjoy whatever it is, and that what will get done, will get done...it will be enough.

Hello Monday and our wonderful annual festivities start in a few hours when we meet our family for the annual sing along.... so all of the little details will just have to be what they are and we'll enjoy them.

Hello  fudge for Santa, we did not get to cookies, and it's a good thing gift bags were invented because they are the way to go...

And I have realized, sometimes, the less you do - the more you enjoy it...and conversely the more you do- the less you enjoy it.

Hello to all those years of Christmas photos....the kids are getting bigger each year and the time rolls by ever more quickly.

Hello Monday, I am a grateful girl...so happy to have so many I love in one place, at one time...

Sigh...hello Monday and Happy Christmas....and here's to you to enjoy your days, the traditions, the small moments and all the festive trimmings.

Here's wishing you all a bright and beautiful holiday with loved ones and a new year full of good health and happy times.
