I could not be any more honored than to dedicate my "Business of the Studio" column in the new issue of Where Women Create magazine to my friend, fellow artful entrepreneur and mentor, Jeanine Taylor...
Through the years Jeanine has taught me
-- and so many of us engaged in the art world
-- so very much.
I am truly grateful to know Jeanine and celebrate the acknowledgement in print of her creative business approach, tenure in he art word and her downright hard work...she deserves much praise for all she has done to cultivate and share her know how...
Thanks to Jo Packham, Editor in Chief of
for featuring Jeanine.
Here's the media release from
Jeanine's gallery in Sanford, FL below...
Perhaps you're in the area and you can join our special pals Jeanine and Mary Shaw -- the gallery manager -- to help them to celebrate on August 6th...
While I cannot make it, I celebrate Jeanine and all she does everyday!
And I cannot wait to make the trip once again to Sanford...you'll catch the Art Girls' RoadShow at the JT Folk Art Gallery next March...details HERE...

Local Gallery Owner, Jeanine Taylor featured in National Magazine: Where Women Create, Inspiring Work Spaces of Extraordinary Women
After 19 years of artful entrepreneurship, gallery owner and southern folk art expert Jeanine Taylor is getting the national attention she deserves. Taylor will be featured in the fall 2016 issue of Where Women Create in a six page article entitled “The Business of the Studio”. Published by Stampington & Company, the magazine covers inspiring stories of women who have carved out entrepreneurial roles for themselves in creative fields. The article was curated and photographed by Jen O’Connor, who visits the gallery annually with her traveling show of artists under the name Earth Angels Studios.
Since 1994, Stampington & Company has been a leading source of creative inspiration around the world, producing over 30 bestselling publications for a subscriber base of more than 50,000 readers. Editor in Chief, Jo Packham was especially impressed with Taylor’s journey from a Fortune 500 company sales rep to visionary gallery owner.
“I’ve had several Stampington magazines available in my gallery for years. They provide visual doses of creativity and inspiration to me, my staff and my customers,” Taylor explains. “I’m so appreciative of this opportunity and honor from Jo Packham. She provides a forum for courageous, imaginative women to share their success and I’m proud to be included.”
To celebrate this national recognition, Jeanine Taylor Folk Art will host a magazine signing and release party on Saturday, August 6 from 1 to 3pm. Copies of the magazine will be available for purchase and refreshments will be served. This is a free event. 211 E. 1st Street, Sanford, FL 32771. Phone 407-323-2774 for further information.
