it's the silly little things that make me HAPPY...hello Monday

Hello Monday...this week I think I might actually be a bit caught up from all the holiday festivities and chores and clean up...It only took 2 weeks!!??!!

So there finally seems time to peek back and look at some of the fun 

SO HELLO MONDAY and hello to silly traditions!

 Yes, there are things that we do that are just plain silly...the fact that we do them once a year makes them honored traditions instead of just plain silliness.
I love that....

....hello to my kitchen hutch..it works hard everyday

but it's best roll is backdrop to our annual New Year's Eve paper hat parade....(the silly something we do while we're waiting for the ball to drop?)

we could also call this..."study of Micah in hats"...
why is this guy in all the pics???

 He and Kathy really got things going...

 ...and surprise guest Katie embraced it!

and of course the annual "Prom Shot" of Rory and his good friend...

you know we love you Stina...

...and this year Paetra is MUCH taller...these two girls vie for the tallest girl...

so grateful they both like being so tall...

 ...and now Micah has changed hats once again...

 ...of course there is our semi-pro resident photo-bomber so...
sometimes you don't get the shot you expect...

 ...and sometimes you do!
