Hello Monday...
I feel like we really need a tour bus for the Earth Angels
-- we've been on the Road sooo much...
but then again, we are The Art Girls' RoadShow!!!
And in all this traveling...there's no place like home....
You see, I really love New York...not just the City of course, but the whole darn State...all 62 counties that range from the Canadian border across to New England and down the mighty Hudson River to the mouth of New York Harbor...stretching wide across Long Island and broadly saluting New Jersey and Pennsylvania as it forges westward...
I love New York...especially in the Fall...
So, this great big State all drenched in Fall colors...yep, I love it, but I also love that other people love it...Josh and Brent of The Beekman 1802 Boys love it and have made Sharon Springs their home -- working and cooking on their farm...they were the impetus for the Fall Festival in Sharon Springs several years ago and for this I give them a wonderful nod...
And even better...now FOLK magazine is produced from Sharon Springs too with Ben Ashby and Heath Stiltner now residing there... I was totally thrilled to be a part of their first FOLK MARKET at the Sharon Springs Harvest Festival...
It was a small and sweet showing for Earth Angels...we were included in the pop up in the lobby of an old theater...but small and sweet sometimes speaks volumes when the goods are all handmade.
Here are my fave images of the day (more are on facebook)...you just might find you need to be there next year....especially if Laurie Meseroll will do a painting class next time...she has found amazing studio space there (will post on that later this week....)
Sue Parker also made a guest appearance...and we got to sneak in a little vintage shopping too!
Thanks to Heath and Ben for including us...it was a true treat...
hello Monday...hello unpacking all this art and handmade from all these shows
hello fall, I like your crisp and snappy attitude
hello New York, need I remind you I love you
hello school, it's really here now and the schedule feels real enough and familiar
hello laundry, hello more laundry (do we really all need this much clothing?!?)
hello FOLK, hello Beekmans, hello Laurie and Sue and Tasie...thanks for making the weekend possible!
hello to you all...hope your week will be wonderful!
xxoo Jen

New York has been my home since l968. I have always loved this state, the mighty Hudson River, New York City, and my own place of residence in Montgomery. It's the BEST there is!
