...we're baaaack!

Hello Monday…

It’s amazing what a change of scenery can do for the soul.
We’re just back from a trip to visit our friends in Munich…and with them we made a jaunt to Berlin and then we took off for a few days on our own to Austria for stops in Salzburg (yes, the hills really are alive with the Sound of Music if you’re wondering) and Innsbruck (because Anne loves how it “sparkles” with Swarovski and so do I!).

We are so very grateful to have had the opportunity to share this adventure and to introduce our kiddos to Germany and Austria. Here are some of my very fave shots of the trip that we’ll remember forever and ever.

The fortress dates from 180 AD-1650 AD…Europe kinda redefines “old” and “vintage”.

Theresa in the market with cherries…

Rory with an ice cream in "just the right size"...

The BMW welt and museum (Lars this is all your fault, I swear if you were Italian it would be Fiats my hubby would love…)

Around the many squares and platzs…

in Berlin...

...in Salzburg...

The love locks on a pedestrian bridge in Salzburg...just bits of small magic everywhere...
So Hello and Happy Monday to all….I am ready for you week and happy to be home…

Hello to the afterglow of a good vacation, you’re keeping reality just at bay…

Hello to our amazing hosts and a million thanks...here we are at Nymphenburg Castle with Amelie....

The only pic of me and the hubby....

Hello to everything that’s so American and SOOOO BIG…from the cars to the fridge…our trip has the kids looking at things differently…

Hello to all our friends in Germany…
we miss you already.

Hello to my new Italian friend, Claudia…I met her on the train platform when I admired her bracelets...

Hello laundry, mountains, no ALPS of laundry.

Hello to catching up with so many things for work…one   step   at   a  time!

Hello to big news from Country Living, they’re planning a December Holiday Fair in Tarrytown, NY…will get you the details soon…

Hello to August, the summer is rushing by. Can anyone tell me how to slow it down?

xxoo Jen

Thanks for sharing your trip! It looks just fantastic! I'd love to go to Austria with Richard as his father was born there and lived in Vienna until he was nine. Someday!

Can't wait to learn more about Country Living in Tarrytown at Christmas and to see you all--long before then, I hope.
