I have always know a loud and raucous family around me.
Multiple generations of many ages... and it's been the ballast of the decades to have those age groups spread wide and welcoming.
The first born among my now long gone grandparents was my Mom Rosie's Dad; he was born in 1885. My Mom, his daughter was born in 1930.
...that's a lot of years for only 3 generations to have accumulated.
So I have cousins from their 30s to their 70s...and their children from toddlers to their 40s, and their kids too. This keeps it interesting and a bit tough to keep track of who's on first and what's on second, or who's a first cousin and who's a first cousin once removed let alone a second cousin....
Here are my kids with my niece's kids...
Cousins are wonderful friends.
I am not sure I can adequately express how grateful I am that my kids have the same sense of family scale that I do...with 18 first
cousins on my side and another 6 on the other, it's often a merry time. They love their big cousins passionately and treasure the role of big cousin they have themselves to the little ones...
It was a pretty cool time yesterday on Rosie's front lawn.
These shots are from my fave little app called "Photo Booth"...
Well worth the 99cents.
The shots are priceless to me.
