hello Monday...the to do list of a cat

Hello Monday.

See this guy...look how he spends his days...I admit I am more than a bit jealous sometimes.

I want to savor the week...so Hello Monday, I want to take this week to go slow and steady and I want to be glad with what I can get done, 

as opposed to being frantic about all I still have to do...

Hello Monday...last week melted away and I am facing deadlines galore. 

Not really sure how it's the end of April, but it is. That means  2 major events in 6 weeks, Rory's First Communion in 3 weeks, and all that end of the year stuff for school that you really don't want to be rushed. 

So I am going to slow it down a bit and think like a cat -- 

I do wonder how their to do list would read???

Trying to help my kids do the same...more one step at a time and pace themselves....HELLO homework!

But at the same time, hello to taking time to hug the kids a little more is a good thing, reaching out by phone or email to someone is a good thing, and making the time -- finding the minute --  to do so is something I need to do more...

Hello Boston, I am praying for peace and healing...

Hello to good surprises....we had some new friends drop by unexpectedly...it's amazing how you can stretch a dinner andanother old friend rang my doorbell ....and while the schedule was thrown out the window...it was all good.

 So hello week...hello to the little things that make me happy like seeing my kids learn -- this week we had projects on Florence Nightingale and Pioneering on the kitchen table.

Hello cute straws and napkins and my favorite mug from Barncandy on etsy. It doesn't take much to make me smile and this did it this week...

Hello to soccer season in full swing. My kids all like to play defense...

Hello garden center, we need to get some plantings going here. Rory wants to plant his veggie garden again so if anyone has recipes for giant zucchinis -- HOLLER!
