I knew I would love it from the moment I ordered...a roadside place like this lasts because it is just plain good...This is "Hot Dog Johnny's" in Buttzville, NJ.
Hotdogs, crispy fries worth every calorie, birch beer in frosted mugs, and buttermilk...yes fresh buttermilk are the staples...and they are each...because when you stop at a place like this you have to try one of each specialty are the best I have had...
And all you LA folks, I would argue this is better than "Pink's"...(don't bash me for this...but there are no lines and tables nestle on a vine covered portico next to a babbling creek...)
Still owned and operated by the Kovalsky family and their close friends, this place deserves to be the legend that it is....sure glad we stumbled upon it...

Can you tell we loved it! A perfect day...great company, great food, and amazing vintage finds...
If you are in the area here is the website for the best dogs around...I am going again soon...roadtrip anyone, and next time, I want the T-Shirt, double fries and a large buttermilk...
