Life is a Highway...

...have you met my new car? Yes, really...this '72 Chevy "Townsman" will soon replace my Nissan Minivan as my daily driver.

I am giving up heated seats and automatic doors to harness the reverse chic, retro cool that consistently inspires my days...AND besides, it's "Earth Angels" green!

You see, I can't seem to bring myself to spend the $$$ on another mini-van, admittedly they are a great appliance and much like a rolling living room, but I cannot say they make getting to the grocery store fun if you like cars, and I do.

Now, for those of you who feel the need to raise MPG issues, I ask you, do you have nay idea how much less money this is than a new car, a CPO car and everything in between??? ...besides it's recycling at it's best!

As Brenda seconds, black vinyl is on order. To be the ultimate "Earth Angels' and the Art Girls' RoadShow Rig", Brenda is soooo right...this car needs black polka dots!

As soon as the guys drive it back from Moline, IL, I promise more pics of it in Warwick, NY it's new home...

xxoo let the good times roll

So majorly cool! I myself want a huge pink cadi. I know it's a gas guzzler but I don't go that many places or that far. But I have yet to find one so I'm so glad you found a vintage jewel! xo-cindy

Way to go green, Jen! She's beautiful.
I get it! We are a retro car family and have great stories to go along with each one. And all our cars have had names. To go even greener we have a butter yellow, two door mercedes named Buttercup that runs on used french fry oil. Yes, you smell french fries everywhere she goes! Have fun! Can't wait to see the vinyl!

Sure beats the brown panel station wagon that I rode around in as a kid. You are one coooool mama! What great memories you are storing in your kids' banks for the future!

Ooops, that last post was supposed to be from me personally, not the gallery.
