Hudson Ho!!!

Vintage loot and a great haunt await you in Hudson, NY...
If you haven't been to the Hudson Supermarket lately or ever, drop everything, go now, and come back and read this blog post once you have been to what is simply one of the coolest vintage showcases on the planet...

oh, wait...before you jet off to Hudson, NY...let me ask you to say hi to my pals, Chris who runs the Cafe in the back of the market, Able the owner, and my amazing friends, designers Ken and Stephanie...

Ok whew, you are back...so glad you listened to be and made the jaunt! Isn't it simply the most wonderful of spots...

And for those of you that cannot drop everything and go...here are my fave shots of our recent trip...

All the kids...big and small...

...having a blast pretending to work for Chris at the Cafe...

...these are the best shoppers around! There's my new fave thing on the planet, my Leo the Lion vintage Steiff...

And here's a delicious peek in the showroom of designer Stephanie Lloyd a purveyor of industrial, mercantile and one-of-a-kind furnishings and accouterments much of which is re purposed at Urban Indian, her husband, Ken’s, workshop. (her space at the Hudson Supermarket is her public showspace......I love everything they find, present and sell...

We had a great day, hunting, dining at the cafe and giving a general prowl about to this funky town laden with style and the best of ice cream shops..."Lick"...try their "Killer Chocolate" and know it's worth the 1.5 hour drive for me to nab a cone, nevermind the calories!

More on Hudson and another fave new spot there soon...

xxoo Jen

I agree. I recently accompanied my son to Hudson, NY. While he was taking care of business, I took a walk in town. Aahh, absolutely great place to visit. So many awesome antique store and friendly little shops. I do plan to visit again to go shopping.
