...confessing another addiction.
I have many an addiction, and well, this is a more recent addition to the cadre of loves, likes, and "have to haves" in my home.
I adore my BLOGging and Facebook friend, Michelle Sylvia and after so many thoughtful comments to my posts, I took a browse of her website...The Blackberry Briar and ordered some of her candles. (...and I love the style and the sincerity of all her work showcased on her website.)
Her candles are simply, the best and oh so addicting. My personal fave (...how can anyone not love something that smells like fresh baked cookies and cake with none of the calories...) is "Butterfield Bakery"...."Old World Santa" is another fave...
I keep mine right here on my counter, near the phone that rings endlessly, my best behaved pet, and the sugar bowl that once belonged to my Aunt Katie Magee. It's a fave spot in my kitchen I must pass a hundred times each day....it's a sweet little corner that gives me a zen moment before I pick up the phone, or reach to sweeten my never ending pots of tea...
Here's what Michelle says about her work:
My Soy Candles are HIGHLY scented. I pour each and every one of them by hand, From my heart to your home. I use mason jars that are finished off with a platinum colored lid and ribbon that is homespun, quilt shop quality. Everything from the wax, label, scent and packaging has been carefully thought out. I use only the highest grade premium supplies when creating my candles. Nothing short of what I would expect in a product. My wax is 100 percent soy and I use cotton core natural wicks. When the wicks are trimmed properly they burn VERY CLEAN with little to no soot. Each candle scent has been tested by me and a handful of others that I trust to ensure a quality product. My candles are all a creamy white color. Candles with no dye burn better, cleaner and longer.
A big thanks Michelle for adding something to my heart and home...

I love the look of the jar! I bet they smell wonderful but I think they would make my hubby hungry even more often than he is ;o0. I also love your Boston statue - they are the best dogs.

yes, I must confess I have that addiction too with a side order of soap obsession. Her candles sound dreamy - going to check them out. A zen corner sounds perfect amidst the buzz of everyday life.

Dear Sweet Michelle makes the most outstanding candles and sprays I've ever had the pleasure of owning! Once you buy her stuff you will be addicted and won't return to any other. I am not sure how she quite does it, but they are so superbly awesome and amazing! She is a talented soul. Thank you for showcasing her and for telling the world about her amazing talents!
