Earth Angels LIVE!

For those who've visited one of the Country Living Fairs, you'll have seen "Earth Angels LIVE!" listed on the program...This is when and where our artists share their creative process, their inspirations, some of their techniques and a bit about how they do what they do with the folks that attended the Fairs.

Here are some images of some of the demos I was able to catch...I loved that the artists were able to speak candidly to an intimate group and share what they do and why they do it...

Melody Elizabeth and Laurie Meseroll did demos at the same time...sharing stories and styles with the fair attendees...

Laurie Meseroll creator of Mud-Cakes mixed media paintings demonstrates collage techniques with ephemera, papers and more...

AND here's Melody Doyel, Melody Elizabeth Designs, repurposing old textiles into fashion accessories and tells a fabric story...

I also caught Leslie McCabe, Textile Artist, demonstrating traditional rug hooking techniques from her own designs...I think Leslie has taught more folks how to hook than anyone on Earth!

A thanks too goes to all who hosted demos but who are not pictured:

** Jody Battaglia, Bear Best Friends, creating felt characters inspired by vintage illustrations and antique children’s books

** Letty Worley, Letty’s Bears, demonstrating soft sculpture techniques and bear making from vintage elements

** Painter Jennifer Lanne exploring painting meets blacksmithing!

AND a big thanks to the folks at Country Living and Stella Show Management for including our artists and their demos on the show program...

Hope to see you there next time for "Earth Angels LIVE!"
xxoo Jen

Leslie teaching others to rug hook always brings me back to my nanny (now 91) and me when I would stay at her house and she would show me rughooking with yarn and tapestry base. Nice memories.
