Her Valentine Donation...
My 7 year old daughter Charlotte cut her 11" ponytail to donate to Locks of Love today...It was her Valentine to another child in need. 80% of donors are kids hoping to help other kids.
Their mission as stated on their site:
Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. We meet a unique need for children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics.
Thanks to the gals at "Cut to the Chase Salon" here in Warwick, NY for their encouragement of this fab program.
And, thanks to you Charlotte. Your efforts are a reminder to us to always think of others...I am proud of you.
xxoo Jen

Chelsea donated her hair, last year. They tied the red tail with a pink bow and within weeks received a thank you postcard in the mail! She's growing it again and has inspired other girls at school to do the same...
Way to go!
